Use a treemap for a nonnegative hierarchy whose parts and groups matter. Exact values and known subtotals remain available in detail; no negative leaf values.

Every node has a globally unique ID. A leaf has value: number or null; a branch has children, never both. Core computes known subtotals and incomplete flags without treating null as zero.

Labels and group colours are configurable. Touch selects the deepest painted block; Previous/Next also reaches zero and unrepresented nodes. No axis, shared tooltip, visibility legend, drill-down or quantitative colour scale is exposed in this version.
