Sunburst · Explore and open detail

Use a sunburst for nonnegative hierarchical values. Each ring represents a level; parent/root amounts are computed known subtotals. Unknown leaves remain incomplete rather than becoming fabricated complete totals or percentages.

Use the same root/children/value union as treemap. IDs are globally unique. Up to 512 nodes, depth 8 and 15 root branches plus a neutral centre. A leaf is finite nonnegative or null; a branch has children instead of value.

Labels are drawn only when their complete box fits inside the ring and its angular sector. Full names remain in the tooltip. Root-branch IDs control colours and the legend. Hiding a branch recomputes visible parent/root values and ring geometry. Names, individual detail and pinning are supported; no axes, viewport, shared tooltip, references, marker controls or point overrides.
