Parallel coordinates · Compare at one dimension
The tooltip groups records at the same variable using that variable’s unit.
Compare profiles containing variables with different ranges or units. Each axis owns its own scale. Polar mode changes axis positions while preserving those independent scales; it is not a radar chart with one common maximum.
Declare 2–16 linear dimensions, or at least three in polar mode, and up to sixteen records with at most one original point per dimension. Each point has id, axisId and a finite value or null. Negative and zero measurements retain their meaning. Null and omitted dimensions interrupt paths. Each axis owns its domain, unit, reversal and tick settings.
layout.coordinates chooses cartesian or polar. Domains use every original record and remain stable when the legend hides one. Explicit domains must contain every original known value. axes.visible, labels and ticks control independent guides. appearance.minPlotWidth scrolls only Cartesian data. Tooltips can show one value or every record at the same dimension, using that dimension’s unit. No global value suffix, numeric viewport, crosshair, stacking or reference lines.
