Organization · Horizontal organization

Directed relationships flow from left to right.

Use an organization graph when responsibilities can have multiple parents. The graph must remain acyclic. Original nodes and links are presented separately from derived connection counts and depth.

Up to 128 named nodes, 512 directed links and 15 groups including implicit nodes. Endpoints must exist; self-links, duplicate relationships and cycles are rejected. Numeric values do not belong to nodes.

Style node-group IDs and the reserved links series through appearance.series. links is never an independent legend or hidden-series entry. Hiding groups removes their nodes and incident links before reflow/metrics. Configure names, individual detail, pinning and normalized 0–1 viewport; no axes, references, crosshair, shared tooltip or point/marker controls. An empty zoom region leaves the source intact; zoom out or reset the view to inspect its nodes. Connector styles remain valid with no visible edges or all groups hidden; the legend can restore the original nodes and colors.
