Unit chart · Four columns

Change the grid while retaining the exact circle count.

Use unit charts for small exact counts. One circle is one unit; values are never scaled, rounded or converted to percentages to choose a circle count.

Up to 16 id/label/value categories with nonnegative safe-integer values and a total of at most 256 across the full source. One semantic observation per category includes zero. Empty space between circles is not a touch target.

options.layout.columns is an integer 1–32; omitted chooses a grid for the current plot. Colours and legend use category IDs. Configure labels, individual category detail and pinning. No axes, viewport, shared tooltip, point overrides or marker controls.
