Tapered columns · Signed and zero values

Direction retains sign and zero remains data.

Use tapered columns when height from the zero baseline is the intended encoding. Triangle area is not proportional to the value.

Named series contain stable id/x/y points with finite signed values or null. Negative triangles point below zero. Zero remains semantic data without an invented painted area.

Configure grouped spacing in the data geometry, axes, colours, legend, labels, shared detail, references and viewport. The glyph is fixed: no layout group, stacking, line-marker controls, curve/gaps overrides or point overrides.
